I have been shooting a recurve bow since 2005 when my wife booked me onto a beginner’s course with Malvern Archers as a bizarrely romantic wedding anniversary present. I am still yet to work out the significance of this! I joined Radnor Foresters and Powys in 2008 when I moved here for work and became Chairman of PAA in 2010. I enjoy shooting both at club level and further afield at tournaments in Wales and beyond. I have even occasionally won medals, just going to prove that anyone can do well at this sport if they apply themselves!

I have always wanted to do archery and it was only seven years ago we unearthed Radnor Foresters who were doing their best to remain cloaked. Still chasing 1st Class Ladies Recurve and slowly getting there after a new hip a couple of years ago. Approaching the Dark Side for the County team this year. Level 1 coach.

I have been shooting Gents Recurve for about 7 years now and have turned to the Dark Side this summer in order to field a compound team for the County. Amazingly, my compound handicap is exactly the same as my recurve handicap. Level 1 coach.

Gents Recurve. I started shooting as a junior in the early eighties and shot for about 5 years. I then took a "break" for 25 years or so before trying a have-a-go session last September and I was hooked again. I enjoy competing and I'm currently chasing my Bowman classification and doing my best to keep up with Dan!!

Joined the Radnor Foresters and started shooting recurve at the age of 11 until I was seventeen and headed off to college. After living and working all over the world I returned to archery as a sport and eventually events led me back full circle to the Radnor Foresters some 30 years later. Here I remain as Level 2 coach, treasurer and competitive recurve archer, if I can help in any way just contact me.

U16 Gents Recurve. Started shooting last September having done a have-a-go session at Staylittle with school. His first indoor season resulted in him reaching a 52 handicap and an E classification however his improvement has continued through this outdoor season and he recently attained his junior bowman classification. He shoots at least 4 times a week and has his next goal of Junior Master Bowman firmly in his sights.
